Before I ever photographed people, I painted. Creating art has always been how I process the world and how I express myself. Now with a camera in my hands, and with three little ones of my own who mean everything to me, this work has become even more sacred. I know how quickly seasons shift. I know how fast childhood changes. I know what it feels like to want to freeze the way someone existed in a single moment.
